background hill

So after rejecting the idea of using an image, and finding the previous version to look quite flat, i started looking at ways to create layers and depth within the image.

One solution was to have the background "hill" as a lighter value than the foreground. This works to create the illusion of perspective because it is what naturally happens in landscapes. Things in the
distance become lighter due to the atmospheric conditions, and things in the foreground are darker.

So here is the first change.

And with the character in shot as well. The purple colour sits as a place holder colour.
